Question:
How many days after feeding do you consider the snake to be "empty" and the snakes weight to be accurate?
I think 7-10 days for the rat to be digested, but if the snake hasnt defecated yet, is that skewing the number?
Thanks!
Alan

Technically, if you held off feeding it till it took a dump then it would be empty, and you'd get your true 'empty' weight. The few grams you'd get extra if you didn't wait really don't really matter that much. Mine don't feed on a strict weekly basis so it's easy for me to just wait a week and weigh it. I'm satisfied with that. Just my opinion.

As a side note, all mine usually get weighed and measured right after a shed. At that time they're generally empty anyhow.

I consider "empty" to be 7 days after a feeding and/or after a poo, if the poo's at least a few days after they got fed.
An entertaining side note I noticed today: my BABY snakes poop bigger than the yorkies/chihuahuas/pugs at the kennel I work for.

In stating this I place reliance

Which immediately bought to mind a picture I saw of a burms poop (was that in here?
)GAWD!! You'd need a shovel.
