Some CH Ghosts and some granites

morphed May 21, 2007 09:21 AM

We recenlty got in these two brothers that were born in Africa. They are amazing little CH ghosts that will hopefully throw babies as pretty as themselves :

Also there is a pair of Granites pictured that came in the same time, the whole clutch looked like this but they were the only pair the rest were all males. Hopefully they will be genetic i would love to see them in Ghosts and Pastels

Thanks Kim

With all the Captive Breed Hypos why would you go with a Captive Hatched animals.
All the YBs, Granites and other morphs Captive Breed I just don't know why you would want Captive Hatched is it the $ money savings ?

morphed May 21, 2007 10:49 AM

It has nothing to do with the money for me. I just love Ghost. I have 9 males all from different lines and when i saw these two i just had to have them. I just want to be able to produce amazing ghosts year after year and i think that their influence will help make an exceptional animal. CH and CB animals are almost idebtical, after working with both for many years i almost prefer working with CH , they pose less feeding problems in the begining when you look at the overall picture. There really isnt any downfall to a CH that a CB animal also dosent have so why not buy CH ?

I didnt, i have a friend who imports and i buy cool babies from him time to time, I fell in love with the two little boys, i have never seen a CB animal like them before or a CH for that matter so i bought them, dont know what the big deal is.

chonjoepython May 21, 2007 12:05 PM

if i had the option to buy a baby ghost for the same amount of money, i would buy the ch over the us cb and bred. as long as the coloring was of similer quality, i would want the "new blood" in my collection. KILLER ghosts btw.

So it's not the Money.
You just want your name added to a bloodline ?

albinosunlimited May 21, 2007 01:34 PM

i buy wild caught morphs all the time i buy w/c albinos and ghost plus any thing else i can find. also its not about putting you name on it 9 out of ten times i dont even say anything. its just for me to out breed my animals to keep from birth defects and inbreeding.

What I wanted to know is why get African animals instead of CB animals.
I understand getting different lines in your collection but can't you get other bloodlines of albinos, Hypos and whatever else from CB animals.
I know Ralph Davis has several different bloodlines of albinos alone.
Thanks for the answer it makes sense.
Just wondering if you think everyone should wait and get CH animals and stay clear of CB animals here in the states.

albinosunlimited May 21, 2007 03:12 PM

the truth is most of the time the wc or ch morphs are more expensive than cb morphs

the collectors in africa have the internet they go on kingsnake they know what animals are worth.

again the price is not what i care about its the genes.
also you have to remember there are really not that many w/c morphs coming in. so of cause i would say buy cb animals.

....they are the same....ch and cb.....for ghosts ,etc.....
(normals are different things)......

.........as for "new bloodlines"......every time you have a snake breed a different snake it is a new bloodline......

......you all need things to do.you moan about everything......hahaha

........funny.........NOAH sold these to America.....same parents that he got nerd line and bell line and vpi line from......they are all related.......wouldn't that be funny.......

If you fall in love with a foreign car because it looks amazing why shouldnt you buy it, b.c it wasnt made in the US. 90% of things sold today in the US are made in China Thailand and a bunch of other foriegn places. Im not going to buy an american car if my heart is set on having the car of my dreams. I fell in love with these two particular ghosts so i bought them, if they were CB i would have bought them also, i did not buy them b./c they were CH , but i see no problems with buying CH either. Look at all the posts about people that just bought unopened bags, why not jump down their throats? I put that they were CH in the thread title b.c i didnt want people to ask what line, and when i said they were ch attack me for not putting that they were not CB. I was trying to avoid this type of thread..

I BOUGHT THEM B/C I LIKE THEM.... IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MONEY, I COULD CARE LESS IF I HAD MY NAME ON THEM.. THEY ARE JUST ORANGE GHOSTS AND WHEN THEY PROVE OUT AND HAVE AMAZING BABIES ... THE BABIES WILL JUST BE AMAZING CB ORANGE GHOSTS...AND WILL BE SOLD AS SO ... THAT IS ALL ....

HOW DO YOU THINK RALPH GOT IN ALL THOSE LINES OF ALBINOS ???HMMMMM. I have been to Ralphs i know he has an amazing collection, but please dont be fooled into beleiveing they are all CB animals.

You are right if I wanted a foriegn car I would get it But from a local car lot here in the USA.
Ralph was bringing in new albino blood sure but that was when they was not alot of albino lines out there.
There are so many out crossed animals out now that you can get new blood here in the good ole states.
All ball pythons started from africa I know this, so sure importing was important for new morphs coming in.
But I was saying why not get some unrelated hypos from someone here in the states instead of african imports.
I have seen some killer baby hypos on kingsnake for sale alone.
The USA market could without a doubt use your support as well as mine and others.

Thanks

I bought the two males from an imported here in the US, Is that not like purchasing a foreign car from a dealership in the US?

Those two particular ghosts i bought are brothers and have some weird patterns i have never seen before, i bought them b.c i wanted to work with them in particular, there are many amazing lines of ghosts in the US, i have 4 lines of CB and 2 lines of CH already in my collection. But if that car you liked was a one of a kind limited addition and was at your local dealer, why wouldnt you buy it ?

I just dont see why the 2 snakes i bought b.c i just trully admired them has turned into such a disscussion..lol.. I bought them on looks and looks alone, If you were in the market for a ghost and found one in the US you fell in love with why would you keep looking and not just buy them, thats all... I just like them. I know many of the actuall exporters in Africa but i dont buy direct from them b.c i dont want the head aches and hassel of overhead and shipping. I wait for things to come in and then shop when they are already in the US, It just so happens i fell in love with these to and they happened to be imported CH babies, i dont see the big deal. Just my opinions.

Thanks Kim

my thoughts exactly. i think diversifying bloodlines within a mutation can only be a good thing. i would rather buy ch or wild caught morphs for that reason. its just not an option to me. hell, those two ghosts are as nice or better looking that many i see cb and bred domestically, anyway. im curious though, are ch and wild caught morphs that much cheaper than cb and bred??? the africans have to be wise by now, right??? also, is it possible that those two WERE cb and bred in africa, only to be sold as ch?

As much as possible(hard to tell what is made in USA any more my TV dam sure wasn't if thats what your saying), I am not saying anything is wrong with it just would rather see money stay in the states. Kim said "There really isnt any downfall to a CH that a CB animal also dosent have" I just disagreed the downfall is the money will eventually go over seas not saying its that big of a deal(lot bigger problems in the world) but is a downfall that CB don't have.
