Hi,
I have a little sand boa too and he hasn't eaten since I got him. The pet store said to put him in a little container and add the pinky, but he won't touch him. He just shed, and isn't done totally yet. He also had a little wound about the same as yours. but mine was an open sore. The clerk said it was from the retailer trying to sex him and doing it wrong. She told me to give him a bath each day and it healed up. That is how I know it is a boy. Anyhow, he is still not eating. I have had him for at least a month.(by the way, not the same retailer. I purchased him in Milwaukee)

I am really new at this, but I am really getting into him. Any help out there?

I am a nuisance trapper here in Ohio. I was called to get a snake from a dumpster(4 cars could fit in it)because an employee had found a snake in a box from Chico,California, with a returned broken heater. Caught snake, took home worked id. A reptile dealer in Ca. said it escaped from him a month ago. Obviously it is now 8 weeks no food. Snake was id as PARADOX KENYON SAND BOA. Beautiful creature. Tan with thin red markings and hardly any melatonin.(black spots) Wouldnt eat for me for bout 3 weeks. Heated reptarium to 80deg F low end and 95 deg f high end and he now sucks down pinks like crazy. I love the little guy. 12 incher. Hope this helps. BLACKHAWK 44
