I was wondering if i could feed my corn a cicada for a snack or for dinner what do u think cause they r everywhere around here.Just an idea.
i don't know that they would eat it, plus you'd have to worry about pesticides that could be ingested. i'd frown upon it.
fry them up with garlic butter and try them yourself........
corns won't eat them I'd bet.....
......they say they taste nutty......?

I didn't mean to be flippant in my answer above, but it was so incomplete, that it read that way, and I apologize if you took it as such.
The primary reason not to feed cicadas (or any insect) to corns (especially neonates), is because of the exoskeleton, which, when passing through the digestive tact can very easily rupture the exceptionally thin internal organ walls.
In short, it is high on risk, low on benefit, and simply not worth attempting on your part.
