Big Breeding Biz Question

truch May 21, 2007 10:13 PM

(And no, this is not about the Chondro market)

For those in the breeding biz:

Do you have/ know about setting up an account to accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)? I know a lot of people use Paypal online but am curious about the costs/ steps to also having a credit card account. Thanks, Chad.

Well to be honest I don't have an account but having talked to a few people that do, I know you pay a percentage of each transaction to the CC company and pay a monthly fee on top of all that just to offer the service...Not that I am disagreeing with what was just said, I do believe if you do enough business it is water under the bridge...just my .02

Westcoast is right. They charge you 3% of your sales, a monthly feed, and the card machine itself runs around $1200-1500. Paypal works the same without the other charges.
