Leioheterodon geayi

wisthlers May 22, 2007 08:03 AM

I got 3 adult Leioheterodon geayi. As I am new to Malagasy Hognose I have the following questions:

- 2 of 3 did not accept food until now. I feed them in a box, where I put 2 thawn hoppers. how can I get the two others to start eating? any tricks or things I can try?

- how do you see if they are male or female?

sorry for my not perfect english, I am not a native english speaker )

cheers
michael

i had dsome wild caughts, feed them on live rat pups for a few weeks then try deads. To sex them is easy if you know how, the males have very long tails, but i guess if you want to know first off you have to probe them.

The other 2 geayi started now also to eat. I put the mice before in tuna water. So one is eating normal mice and two mice with tuna water taste.

Do you have pictures with tails of male and female? That I can see the difference?
