my water dragon died for a few minutes

today i was giving my chinese water dragon a bath, he was swimming around and then he was floating on his side, i took him out and he wasn't breathing, i layd him in my lap n rubbd his chest till water started coming out of his nose n then he was breathing, i was very VERY scared, what happend?

too much water, WD not strong enough to swim all the time. make sure he can stand in the water. and doesnt have to swim around. and never leave it alone in the tub. be right there the whole time.

water dragons d tht when nervous stressed or scared. when adult the dont really do this. they do this in the wild to fool predators. its comon when my dragon did it i jsut splashed some water on him and hed swim agian.
