Looking to make the jump to boas

netoibarra May 22, 2007 02:29 PM

Hey guy, I have dealt stricktly with ball pythons. However, I want something that gets in the 7 to 10 foot range. I am not looking to breed it like my pythons, I want it mainly as a pet. So my question to the boa experts is what species gets in the 7 to 10 foot range and is docile enough to be handeled regularly? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If your looking for a non-morph snake i say a clean BCC like Guyana or Suriname, the males will be around 10'

Just about ANY BCI will fill the bill. So it really come down to what do you prefer.

Do you mean any BCC? BCI cover every dwarf boa and really only large females or Colombians would come close to the 7-10 range.
