Retic Photos

These 2 were photographed at Falcon Lake State Park on May 11. I saw second male, too, he was not as colorful, and I didn't get any phtotos of him. I think I was just really lucky to even see a male and female...and wow, get some photos, too!

Awesome shots!!! I've seen more photos of reticulatus this year than ever before but those are the best.

Wow I never saw one that bright before, maybe last year was a good year for the retics, or not such a good year for the local predators?

but I saw a lot of birds that looked like they would very happily eat a lizard, like roadrunners and caracaras.

I'm not sure about their population there. I know I saw only the 3 that day. No luck the day before, I spotted a few lizards, but could never get close enough to see if they were retics or not. And leaving the park I found the poor roadkill guy I posted pics of earlier.
