A few shots of daddy glow

Just shed. This guy is the father to my recent sunglow litter. He is the most docile boa in my collection and is a very strong breeder. Can't ask for much more!

He is a monster. He still has really nice contrast and color. The babies he produced are going to be killer.

Thanks for the camera info today. I went with the D40X. I have only taken about 25 pics and I already love it. There is no comparison between the Nikon and my old camera. I will be talking to you soon for some photo help.

No problem on the photo help. I'm glad you're liking the camera, I knew you would! I also didnt realize you were "SDI", I think I know people better by their forum aliases over their actual names these days, lol!

I took those above pics outside in the shade of the house, this was about an hour and a half prior to becoming totally dark outside. They looked HORRIBLE before applying the white balance, the color of the boa was all wrong, he barely looked yellow... which is not at all what I see with my own eyes outside. After applying the white balance it snaps the shot right where it should be. Moral of the story: Definitely get a white balance card and the nikon capture software when you get a chance. It is the most useful and cost effective accessory in my "arsenal".

The other thing is that flash I mentioned, seen here:

Just let me know when you need more help.

Still Smokin! I haven't checked out his litter yet, I'll have to do that.

Gotta love that contrast in color.
