whats up with female head bobbing?

dragon3 Aug 15, 2003 03:47 PM

My friends female just layed unfertile eggs and its been about 2 weeks later and when you let it out of its cage it bobs its head in one area then moves to another and does this, what does it mean. Thanks. And how can you tell when your beardie stops growing, mine is 16 inches and 9 months old its been almost two months and I've seen no more growing but just the other day its lower half of its body but not its tail is about to shed. Any info helps thanks.

She's being intimidating...basically claiming it as her turf. Though females are not as aggressive in territory defending as females they will defend their own turf. It also could be due to the fact she did lay eggs recently and maybe close to laying another clutch even if infertile. I wouldn't worry about it, just another odd behaviour of our beardie friends.
