Hair in fecal matter

fastjunkie May 22, 2007 07:56 PM

Has anyone else seen this.I looked in my sorrongs cage today to see if he has deficated yet and when I did I seen what looked to be some undigested hair in his stoole. Is this normal?I just recently upped his food size to a large mouse weekly.Maybe it's too big?too often?BTW,this was not a regurged mouse.I hope I'm just being paranoid, but I did just lose a neo jaya just this past Sun.so now I'm just being a little cautious.
Thanx All

It's normal. Sometimes when you go up in size, especially from say, a fuzzy to a mouse with substantial hair, the snake won't digest all the hair. You might try making some cuts down the back of the mouse to help your snake digest it.
