Hatchling Complication Update

Dean38 May 22, 2007 09:00 PM

The yolk is fully absorbed, just waiting for the remaining attachment to fall off and the umbilicus to close up.

Any input welcome and thanks

You did a great job with that hatchling. Very nice! Does that cord need to stay moist to complete the process?

That baby could very easily be dead right now. Instead, it looks perfect. That's a beautiful pastel too. Great job.

Nice & chubby compared to the very first pic you posted when you found it. Way to go! So, will it be a keeper now?

Thanks for all the kind comments. I'm glad it all seems to be ok. After the umbilicus closes I will determine sex and deside if it will be a keeper. I plan on keeping it longer then normal just to make sure all goes well.

Thanks again

beautiful.. have a name suggestion for you too. Kismet (I think is how you spell it. (Kiz-met) It's arabic for fate if memory serves me. It would not be alive if you had not stepped in. Good job!
