Central American Banded Gecko weird bump growing on his side...

herpersteve Aug 15, 2003 03:57 PM

My C.A.B gecko, has a small bump growing on the left side of his body under his arm. I'm not sure what it is, he hasn't been eating all that well ever since I purchased him at an IRBA show about 3 months ago. He usually eats one cricket a week. Please help.

Kinda hard to tell with that lighting and from that distance. Is the bump hard or soft? It could be the effects of metabolic bone desease (MBD) cause by lack of UV lighting Calcium supplements. Its even harder to tell why he's not eating but try offering wax worms to him they usually help. It could also be a cist (I forgot how to spell it) which is just puss accumulating there. I believe its caused by lack of Vitamin A but I'm not sure. Hope that helps somewhat.
