Okeettee in a planted vivarium

zach_whitman May 23, 2007 11:11 PM

So this is my first attempt at designing a planted vivarium that is tough enough for a small snake.

I had nothing to do this afternoon and this little guy was outgrowing his hatchling rack. I found some rocks and wood in the woods, and used some a mixture of cypress mulch and coco fiber bedding. I took some cuttings from a pothos plant on my porch and planted them directly into the tank. I packed some top soil into the corners where the plants are. We will see if the cuttings can take while the snake is in there with them.

This is sort of experimental, I am moving in a few months, so it will get broken down, but I just wanted to see if it could work.

I'm interested if this will work out for you, I havn't tried a planted stank for snakes.
