hi all,have not posted here for ages but have a young aquaintence who is mad keen on Reptiles etc like most on here!He is going over to Virginia to do some camp counsellor thing and wants to know if anyone over there could point him in the right direction to see some boxies etc in their natural state?Would it be hard to do,permits required etc?If it is allowed I could get email contact for him etc,thanks for any help ideas that can be offered.

hi all, i am the person comming to virgina, and for the 1st few months ill be in harrisonburgh VA, and then from there i want to travel to washington, newyork, then up to canada, then back down the other side of the usa,

if all goes to plan there will be time in san fran, sandiago, and arizona, and then to LA beforei fly out back to lil old NZ

You will be very close to Shenandoah National Park, which would be a good place to see turtles.

You will also be reasonably close the the Wildlife Center of Virginia, which a veterinary hospital strictly for wildlife. You should contact them to see if you can go to one of their 'open house' days, when they give tours of the facility. It's a pretty cool place: check out their website (link below).
