someone told me that new heat pads that are on the shelves are regulated to not go over 90 degrees....has anyone else heard this before???

I haven't heard of this claim before... still wouldn't use them unless you keep your dragons in a refridgerator.

Actually I read it was 100 somewhere. I only use them in my nest box(s) to regulate the dirt temp. otherwise their just not a good idea for Bearded Dragons.
well the reason i asked is bc i have 2 leopard geckos on the way and im going to keep them with a UTH since they like belly heat....either way im going to use a rheostat and im going to order a temp gun to get accurate readings on all temps! thanks alot guys!

Which brand of UTH are you looking at? I have one of the Zoo Med one's for my leo. I can easily get 95 degrees through a two inch layer of sand.
