I got a gecko a few weeks back. I bought her with 2 male patternless. Anyway, she seems healthy besides not eating.
She weighed 25 grams when I got her, and is now 22 grams. Not a big difference..but the guy I got her from said she had previously laid eggs, which doesnt sound too good to me.
I cant get her to eat mealworms, and I am about to try crickets even though I dont normally buy them. And perhaps a few waxworms.
I highly doubt she will touch either though.
I have been feeding her a bit of chicken baby food, she seems to like it. And ive given her a bit of pedialyte and Jump-start.
I made a mixture of blended mealworms, calcium, jump-start, and a bit of water..but it didnt seem to agree with her as much as the chicken baby food is. She was down to 20 grams before the baby food, and gained 2 grams back, so I guess thats an improvement.
But I know she cant stay on babyfood forever.
So I pretty much have no clue what to do...should I feed her the babyfood until she is at a good weight and has the desire to eat again? OR..should I just keep trying with the mealworms? I have given her a few mealworms to eat..but she deficated them out whole.
And I gave her a small lick of panacur just in case.
Other than that..I am stumped, this girl is a Super Hypo Tangerine, and I really dont want to lose her. Im pretty sure the reason she has lost so much weight is being bred too early, but how do I intice her to start eating again?
Any idea?
Thanx

Whenever she stops eating I take her to the vet, and he gives me a few syringes full of the appetite stimulant. To us, a few grams doesn't seem like much, but it can seem like a lot to these guys because they are small animals.
