excessive shedding

scripta_elegans May 24, 2007 12:34 PM

My little hatchling collared is shedding an incredible amount, and it seems to all be coming off at once. He look as if he's been rolled in cocnut! He hasn't shed in the month that I have had him until now, but it looks as if more than 1 layer is now coming off. Is this normal? Can I help him? It looks really itchy!

Use a squirt bottle with some water , he will probably not like it, and run, but squirt him, nice soft spray, not full blast FIRE-HOSE blast, LOL

Anyway skin should be off before ya know afterwards

Thanks! I have been putting a damp paper towel in his cool hide, and he seems to be loving that, but I will certainly give him a misting too. He looks like he rolled in coconut flakes!
