I wouldn't be as worried about the weight as I would about the eyes. From the looks of the piture, it appears that this snake has multiple layers of unshed eye caps and this can lead to multiple infections, blindness, etc. That could be what is causing the bulging (or, it could be genetics but based on the light colored look of the picture, I think this snake has stuck eye caps). This snake needs some veterinary attention. Good luck with this rescue.

Luckily I work as a vet tech and the doc is going to take a look at him. I can tell just by the texture of the Burm that he does indeed have at least one stuck shed. It never ceases to amaze me how people will just mistreat the animal that they spent so much time, effort and money to get in the first place.
