Each year, I hold back a few select WC females to add to my personal breeding collection. This year, I kept eight. These are some pictures of three of those eight.
First, is a double ringer, clear belly, black back looking animal. I about made a big mistake with her. I sold her to a friend and his mom (young friend, hot mom!) They couldn't get her to eat, so they sold her back to me. Some people have problems getting WC animals to eat. I guess I'm lucky in that regard, for I can get them going pretty easy. This one is attacking small rats with a gusto! Any ideas what it might be? I am totally baffled on it's color and pattern:
The next female is proably one of the best looking burgundy's I've ever seen. It's hard to desribe her color. Dark eyes, and a clear belly. She did not lay a clutch, but she was so outstanding in color, I decided to keep her and breed her this coming season:
And lastly, a nice Yellow Belly female. She laid a clutch of 9 eggs. They are still incubating. My fingers are crossed!!
I was going to take a picture of a WC female I had from last year that I held back. She produced a clutch of six eggs. She has a funky ghost type pattern. I bred her to a pastel, to see if she would take, and just got a clutch of five eggs from her a few days ago!! So, after she sheds, and settles back to a routine, I'll shoot a few pics....
I know WC females is not everyone's cup of tea. A lot of folks have problems. Some simple, some not so simple. I take much pride in getting them to adjust to captivity, eating and breeding. It's a challenge. And I believe the rewards are just.

. Gad I got one clutch atleast, and I really like atleast one characteristic of each female. They're all keepers. If I can get mother to eat, I'll be one happy camper
