Question about an incomplete shed

Railrider1920 May 24, 2007 06:53 PM

Hi everyone,
My one corn just shed a couple of days ago. It was a little too warm in the tank and probably not humid enough. She shed her head piece fine but there are small pieces of skin left on her body in different areas. Besides keeping a better eye on temp, is there anything specifically I should do for my corn? Wipe her down with a damp cloth maybe? Or will the regular movement in and around the aspen substrate get rid of the pieces of skin?
Thanks for any suggestions
Rob

Once when Nibbles didn't shed the last like three inches of skin from his rear I took and got some paper towels wet with warm water, squeezed some of the water out of them, put them in a smallish(this would depend on the size of the snake)tuperwear container. I let him slither around in that for half hour or so and when I took him out the skin had come off in one neat piece. I read about doing that from either this forum or the Kingsnake forum.

Give it a try, it can't hurt!
