Alright, I have a good amount of this thing finished. I decided to go with an acrylic front just because it is cheap as hell and easy as hell. I neither have the tools,money, nor time to deal with glass. This is my first do-it-yourself kind of project and im a 20yr old college student living in an apartment in the unfortunately expensive bay area.. so anything to save me from buying additional tools and material is very good lol.
I got the mdf boards cut at lowes. they did an awful job at measuring so thats why it looks funny on the sides. the front piece won't fit on till i cut that funky little edge off, which should be tomorrow. I will also be doing some paint touch-ups after this cage gets moved back down to LA at the end of the summer.
