Is it worth going to?

Has anyone attended an Ontario Reptile Expo (Mississauga) in the past? I plan to go in September, in the hope of finding a few new panther chameleons. Just wondering if it's worth my time (I'd have to travel quite a ways, as I'm in British Columbia).

Hi Sandra,

I'm heading to the equivalent show just outside of Ottawa tomorrow. Can't speak for the mississauga one specifically, but I'll let you know how this one seems to me, the ultimate noob.

Thanks for the reply! I'd very much like to here from you again after you've gone, to hear your views on it. I'm slightly hesitant to fly across the country and incurr that expense plus hotels etc if I'm not likley to find at least one and preferably a couple different (as in colour) panther chameleons to purchase. I've six wonderful Nosy Be at the moment, and would like some fresh faces to fall in love with.

Well, I went, and I had a lot of fun! But, it definitely wasn't a chameleon show...not here anyway. It was more geckos, beardies, and snakes.

The only shop that had panther cham babies here(and I wish I had the cash to do another setup), was little ray's reptiles. He had two clutches of Ste. Marie and 3 clutches of Nosy be. I wanted to pick one of the Ste. Marie's up, but I didn't. We actually got a beardie baby, just cause the setup is sooooo much cheaper. My goal is to breed Ambilobe one day...and I thought some Ste. Marie morphs woulda been cool!

Maybe after our house closes in August, I'll do another setup!

Hope someone who went to Mississauga show has better comments on that one! Maybe better to ask in general questions area, more chance that someone on the site was there... I'll ask on another site for you too...
