Elephant alterna and request

brhaco May 25, 2007 12:38 PM

Herping is rained out here in the Hill Country for the duration, so I was bored and took some more pics. Here's that Elephant Mntn. area/118 alterna from May/06.

If anyone out there has a nice male from the same general area (roughly halfway between Alpine and the Christmas Mntns.), I'd be very interested in doing a breeding loan next year. Too late for this season-she's breeding with a male Black Gap right now.

Is this from the limestone cuts by the southern picnic table?

No-further south. The last cuts before you hit the flats around Elephant Mntn. WMA....I believe the rock is igneous there...at any rate, a very ugly-looking cut!

That is an outstanding snake. I wish I'd found it.

I have one from just north of there, but he's also got a female from the same cut in the next cage . . .

to find a mate for her this season (I plan to devote at least one or two nights per trip to looking), would you be willing to take her next spring and try to mate her to your male?

Thanks!

I have a male from very close to there that should be ready next year. He is a very unusual looking animal. Not nearly as nice as yours (haven't seen many from there that are as nice as yours). E-mail me.
