I am nearly responsible for EVERY hi-jacked thread on this forum, please forgive me, I mean no offense to anyone and I am not trying to be whatever you call that type of person, rude perhaps, one thing often gets me thinking of something else, I hope no one is offended my lack of Forum decorum.

See, you're not the only hijacker in the clan!!

I love camping although I have to admit, I've gone soft in my old age, gone are the days of sleeping unde the stars with nothing but a sleeping bag and a tarp. Now I have a big a$$ motor home. Still refuse to go to the glorified parking lots with full hockups thay call RV campgrounds (some even have cable tv hookups). We mostly go to one lake for a week at a time and have a grand time with friends out on the boats. Took up barefooting a few years back, no pro by any measure but love jumping out on the boom and walking on water, even one footing it.

never tried that, I have gone knee boarding and tubing (loved it). I also got in a canoe that was attached by a rope to a speed boat. DON'T ever try this BTW not only is it stupid, the rope broke and the canoe hit the water (nose dive)and I flew forward out of backseat and hit middle bar and literally flipped the boat over, I found myself under water and very disorientated, could have died, but it didn't stop me from cliff diving....ah to be 19 again...and have no legitimate fears of mortality, luckily I only got a large bruise all the way across my stomach where middle bar hit me as I flew forward, I have done countless stupid things like that when I was a teenager, cheated serious injury and death, now I am older and always wear my seatbelt, it does make me realize why uncle sam is so interested in 18 year old boys and not so interested in men over 35 years of age. Immortality complex goes away with AGE.

tubing is absolutely awesome (only did it once) and the best part is when the boat is turning real fast so the rider will fall off and it can get pretty scary especially if you hit the wake of another boat oh yeah that gets the adrenaline going and it is legal
Bob

FRoberts May 25, 2007 04:33 PM

Never tie two tubes together and use with a friend, since main rope was to boat, when the driver turned (to go over his wake) the tubes flew up in the air and smacked together like a sandwich, not just once, many many many times, the other guy let go, when our heads collided, me I stayed on, they couldn't knock me off and where rather annoyed, I loved knee boarding, but found, I am not very good at water skiing, instead of riding the water, my behind hits the water repeatedly just like the tubing incident but felt a bit MORE solid, the difference was it was my a$$ getting hurt, and as matter of factly fell off and or let go every time, so I can't water ski, with practice I am sure I would improve, as long as I had the right teacher.

Did I mention, I can't water ski because I have "S.,A. S." ( known by Psychologists as "Sagging A$$ Syndrome" ) One can not be good at everything, but since a lot of people blame their OCD for many things in Life. I have to say, since I have SAS , I can not be expected to function well without my medication,, which BTW is not available in pill form, it's actually a strategic oblong insertion type of device that would WAKE UP THE DEAD.. Marketed as " The Assinator" it has a 30 day insertion type of policy and is 100 % guaranteed to " stand ya straight up" thus alleviating you of your Saggin Ass, Guaranteed to be non-addictive even with prolonged use. If you have ass sags that last longer than 4 hours discontinue use and contact your Doctor. If this doesn't work for you, they recommend upgrading to "The More Complete Assinator"

I just got finished ordering not one but two "The More Complete Violators I mean Assassinators" one for me and one for Dave lol That tubing adventure sounds like fun if everyone keeps their knees to theirselves and your heads tucked in between your shoulder blades but not even testosterone and joking is gonna be my boy FRANK off yaaaahhhhhoooooo!!!! Never tried water skiing but I like to sit on my a$$ sometimes okay okay a lot so I will take the tubing anyday and it requires much less thought and all smiles until that water hits you at 40 plus and the rush of water up your nose burning it-I hate that even as a kid uuuuhhoooooh I am still a kid at heart

I am not very fond of the ocean, when I was little, I can remember eating a lot of sand when I got wiped out by the "big" wave. Under toe is ok when your standing in, not ok when your face is being dragged across it lol

I used to waterski. I mostly used a slalom ski and tried dropping it to barefoot but never could do it. I had a surfboard and a canoe when I was a kid. I was good with the canoe and terrible on the surfboard. I do surf with my kayak now.
Hijacking threads works fine on this forum. The serious on topic questions do get answered which you do not see on all the forums.

Yeah, I'm really into slalom skiing, fairly good at it. Even got to the point where I was outskiing the boat and had to move up into a competition ski boat so I could continue to improve. We have all kinds of toys from skis, wakeboards wake surf boards and even an air chair. (a seat with a hydrofoil)

I have found it to be sometimes discouraging when it comes to unanswered threads, especially, when they are written with a legitimate question. I see lots of ignored posts on a lot of different forums. I usually try to answer them , unless, I do not have any idea what the answer to their question is and or it looks to be extremely "old" and the odds of the person reading my reply is next to zero, I would imagine one would get tired of looking for a response to their question ( I know I do get tired and I simply give up, then I look elsewhere for my answer )
