Sami's egg Day 55 (Kelly and Kathy)

PHEve May 25, 2007 01:35 PM

Here ya go guys, this is what your eggs start to look like when ready, if ya notice now it's almost "completely collasped". Except for the tiny lil guy who has been living in there LOL

**Funny when I watched my first egg hatch many moons ago, I could not believe anything could still be in there, it appeared so flat.

Samis egg , anytime now

Thanks Eve. I appreciate the photos for reference. Now I'm feeling guilty... Last year I thought the eggs in my homemade incubator went bad. Now I'm not so sure. The eggs looked just like your photos but with a little mold on the top. I can't remember how many days old they were when they were thrown out. I wonder if they were good or bad. So sad if there was a little one inside.

Did not make it

I was a bit worried to tell ya the truth, this egg seemed to be taking to long. If you remember I thought it was going to hatch much eariler, but had to wait it out. He was very small and just did not make it.

I believe Sami is getting older and did not seem to lay very many eggs either. I don't think I will mate her next year.

Anyway it is always a bummer when ya wait this long and ya lose them. But it happens.

That's really sad, hope the other(s) was ok ?? I think you said there were two or three in the clutch?

Hopefully his brother/sister hatched out ok?
