Savu Love

Ryan Young May 25, 2007 04:09 PM

Well I have for the first time found my Savus locked up. The female seems to be filling out and I think I just might get a clutch from these two. I really hope it happens for me as I would love to see the pink babies w/ white eyes come out. I am having fun with these guys and a good clutch of eggs would make it all the more fun.

Thanks Ryan Young

Congrats Ryan!
That pile I had years ago never did a thing for me...I'm glad to see you getting some "love" from yours!
Good luck with 'em.

Congratulations! I haven't had any luck with my pair yet, either. I'd just about given up on them for the season, but maybe now I'll try putting them back together again. Any suggestions for getting them going?

I treated them like everything else and cycled them last winter. I have had extra rats in the last couple weeks and I fed her quite a bit since she was looking thin after a few months with out food. I was cleaning cages and noticed she looked larger in the right area and the male had refused food the day before so I thought why not and they were locked up the next morning. I can feel the follicles plain as day and she seems to be building twards ovulation but untill she has done so and in her pre-lay shed anything can happen. It would be geat to produce some and would be another new species for me to produce. Snakes do not read books and let them tell you when they would like to breed as they do not always do it on your time table.

Thanks Ryan Young
