critters, critters EVERYWHERE! meet my newest addition!

Hi all, while I was out collecting wild cherry for my cecropia caterpillars I also collected a little green tree frog! Apparently, he was on the cherry that I cut and hitchhiked home with me! Usually I only find other leps (got a wild cherry sphinx cat just the other day and a really cool prominent - NO, I did not feed them to any of my herps!).

As I am sure you can imagine I don't intentionally wild collect any critters but I may just have to keep this little one for awhile - at least long enough for some photo ops and to draw him. I am wondering if I can keep him in with my three anoles or will they try to eat him, or in with my baby house gecko (2" long including tail) or will the frog try to eat her?? (btw, the gecko is a “her”, checked her out when she was plastred to the glass!)

I have set up a temporary home for him in a 14" tall shapely vase with a plants, water, stone, bark, a few ph crix and some hydei ff. Hey, I wanted something to eat up my ph and ff! He is a little cutie, only about 3/4" body. I'll get pix, soon.

I have to say, the strangest part about having all these new guys is their speed and they all climb on glass! With my leaf chams - I'm still sad - taking off the screen to put in food, clean up poop or whatever the LAST thing I had to worry about was them escaping! LOL!! Now, ALL of these guys are fast and can climb like Spiderman! WHEW! The other thing is that as much as the leaf chams could hide well, I usually sought them out quickly but all my newbies can be really tough to find - especially the anoles! Except for my Bahamian Brown – she just spends her day on a branch in the upper left corner basking her fat body! I am happy to say that the greens have put on some weight and are beginning to look much better than when I first rescued them.

Their personalities are beginning to develop already so I will be naming soon. Did I tell you my brown anole is gravid? Anyone want babies? But seriously, if any of you have experience with gravid anoles I would love some advice. I have no idea when to expect them. Have some post going on the anole forum. Funny, now that I am frequenting 4 different KS forum (sometimes 5) I get confused as to which I am talking about and have to look at the posts. I began to put gecko info on the anole forum. Hey, you guys are going to get it all! LOL!!

Yes, it would be alright to put them in with anoles. Just watch it and don't put any toads in there, because the green tree frog will eat it.

Thanks,
How will the GTF eat a toad? This guy is less than an inch...?
