energetic boa question

Hissenia May 25, 2007 10:21 PM

I have a 5 1/2 foot boa that is VERY active. Anybody else have trouble getting their boa to go back in his cage? This guy use everything he has to wrap the edge...the door...me! its like try to cage a octopus. Any tips to safely cage this fella is much appreciated.

I have a similar problem with my 5 foot guyanan. I get half of him in the cage and then I'm getting the tail, and then when his tail is in his upper body is out, lol. its a struggle, but I just put his upper body in, then work on the lower, and keep my eye on the upper at the same time, if he makes a break for it, block his head with your hand, thats what I do anyway. I guess it scares him back down to an ''s'' position long enough to get the tail in.

sometimes it just takes practice! haha... and tricking them into thinking they're "climbing" up into the cage helps me too...
