.....about the Sav a few posts down. I have a baby Blackthroat. He's so big around that I'm temptd to think he's obese. He's growing like a weed, sheds almost constantly, and has just graduated to four small adult mice per day. I'm going to get a friend take a pic that I can send to this group. He's 15" SVL and 13 inches around his belly. I just don't know their natural shape. I looked up "Blackthroat" "pictures" on Google and didn't find a suitable profile that I could use to compare with.

Hello RVC,
You can try comparing it to a wild blackthroat as that is the natural profile- not a sick import as they have been starved for weeks- but just a healthy wild animal... if they get the proper environment in captivity they are healthy as they are in the wild. They don't stay full of food for long- as though you can try but never perpetually keep them full unlike when they are undermetabolised... Best to you- Mike
