Received a phone call from my wife AND: The Golden corn has laid 13 eggs... 8 seem to be fertile. (Better ratio than last year). I bred her to the best looking het male (her son) and he was still a little on the small side, which would explain the 5 infertile eggs. (last year I only had 4 out of 16 - due to the males' smaller size - he was only about 9 months old).
I have also paired up four female hets with their siblings, but the females were all borderline breeding size so when I get home I will be able to palpate to see if any are going to lay eggs this year...
I'm still overseas, but will be home for good on the 28th (of May). So pics are coming soon. This older pic will have to do for now:
