I know I want a boa, but what kind is the tamest and managable if handled from a hatchling. Also when they are adults do they remain tame? What is the size of the enclosure for a fully grown adult?

A good starter Boa would be most forms of BCI. Common Colombian Boas are great pets and most will remain tame as they mature with frequent handling. You can house a full grown adult in a large 4' cage generally for the duration of it's life. Start the baby in a much smaller cage though. There is a lot of good info out there you just need to search the net and this site. Good luck...

I agree with brett and I think alot of your boas temperment has to do with your handling and treatment of it. I have gotten some boas that were just mean when i got them but with regular handling all eventually calmed down.Do your homework first and make sure whatever you decide on you get a good healthy boa to begin with it will make things sooo much easier in the long run Brett was that top pic the dh sunglow that you got from randy wright last year? that boa is awesome.

Yeah, that's her.....I can't wait to see what I get from her! She is so nice looking but it's going to be awhile before I breed her. How are those neos doing??

They're doing good I only ended up losing 1 of them. It sucks though because it was one of the "different" ones. I was going to take pics to show you what I mean by "different" but my batteries died.It has a clean belly with speckled lines down the sides of it, it also has some weird saddles and what kinda looks like a stripe on its tail. It's hard to describe so I will try to get some pics of it posted later on tonite.
