late shed?

begunwithaletter May 26, 2007 04:43 PM

All but two of my neonate boas have shed... they are 21 days old tomorrow, and it just seems like they should have shed by now. Nobody seems to be interested in eating, but these two unshed ones are concerning me...

I'm keeping them in 12qt sterilite tubs, hot side 88 degrees, damp paper towels for substrate and soak-sized water dishes, with paper towel tubes for hides.

Is there something I'm missing, or are they just 'late bloomers' ?

No worries. They'll shed when their physiology tells them to. This guys first shed and meal was at right about a month old. Look at him now.

The rest of the litter shed and had 3 meals before this guy started.

Don't lose hope. It'll come around.
