So i just moved to Wa from Fl, and have NOT been able to find a good vet that works with herps yet. I need to find one soon because one of my hogs wont eat, wont respond to tryting to force feed it, shes always REALLY stubborn to start eating again after the winter, but she stoped eating again a few months ago. i have no idea what the hell to do. shes in wth anther hog thats going fine, i dont know the sex of that one but they have been together for a while with out any problems. anyone from the seattle area that can help me out? thanks!

If she is housed with another hog, it's possible that other is a male and she is gravid and won't eat until after laying eggs.

The hog thats not eating is getting thinner, the hog that shes in with is HUGE. he eats everything. so possibility of being gravid. I dont know i am looking for a vet. I found one near me but i wouldnt take a cricket to that vet - they are HORRIBLE.
thanks though

Sometimes just being together will cause enough stress to make one stop eating. Have you tried smaller food items? Braining the food? Scenting the food? Also, get a fecal done ASAP. Parasites can cause a loss of appetite.
