Hi all! I'm brand new here and very excited to find this forum. I've been keeping reptiles since I was a child (a loooong time). My first few reptiles were desert captures since we had a vacation place in Palm Springs, CA. Of course one of them actually captured me - a Chuckwalla. It grabbed hold of the webbing between my thumb and index finger and wouldn't let go! Recently I've taken to rescueing herps from inexperienced keepers or those who tired of their new pets. I now have a veiled chameleon who had metobolic bone disease. He eventurally lost a portion of his casque but is now doing great. I have a blue tongue skink with a bumpy tail from an inadequate diet. He's also doing great now although minus a toe from retained shed. He may lose a few more... If anyone has any recommendations on treating this, please let me know. He has several bumpy, reddish toes that he bites at. I've fallen madly in love with my BTS "Blue" and would love to find a Shingleback to give a home to. Can anyone point me in the direction of a breeder or rescue? Thanks!
