Not Dave.. but I can still help - I use a dremel with a rotary cutting bit, but a drill and drill bit will work, just trace the hole. You can also cut it out w/ a good pair of scissors or razor/hobby knife (just be careful with this as it will slip on the plastic easily). Once you have the hole cut, make sure to clean up any sharp edges.

I use a large hole saw, basically a drill bit with a round saw blade. Makes nice round holes. Then a bit o sanding and nice smooth edges. Any hardware store will carry. Cuts much easier if you backup the plastic to be cut with a piece of wood.

since I use the same boxes during breeding season, I wanted to enlarge the hole into a "U" so if/when multiple body sections were passing through the same hoe the lid could expand away and the hole would enlarge. I cut the top portion of the tub away with tin snips. Much easier on new tubs, the plastic is softer sand less brittle. Some older tubs cracked on me.

So in these pics imagine the openings started as circles and were extended up to the rim afterwards.

If just for one snake, circles are fine, should be 2X snake diameter. Some smaller hides I have for subadults are shoebox sized with one hole cut in the lid.

Calling your snakes such derogatory terms!! You should know better after the Imus and Al Sharpen fiasco.

I loved the comment Frank.

Dave, what was it you are now placing on top(or was it beneath) the paper in your BRB enclosures?

I'm switching mine over to mossbox instead of moss bedding and couldn't rember the material you used along with the paper.

Sean.

For substrate I use two layers of newspaper and one later of Indented Craft Paper.
