yep, mine used to. everytime i held him he would do his duty on me, and at the most umpleasant times. one time i was laying down on the couch and i set him on my stomach because he likes the warmth, and he dutied on me then. and it soaked right through my shirt too! but yeah, its just like a phase, and he will get through it.

Yeah, my uro does that to me too but not as soon as I take him out. I've watched him do that and I'm beginning to think that maybe he does it sometimes to mark new territory. He's done it to just about every piece of "furniture" I've put in his cage. The ones he's "done his business" on are his favourites. He doesn't keep doing it on them anymore though. When I take him out on his leash, he'll wander around a bit first and pick a spot to do his business (I'm glad he likes easy-to-clean floor tiles). Don't sweat it though. If he does poo on you, just put him down in a box or something to hold him other than his cage, wash your hands and continue handling him. Ra doesn't do it more than once per day.

that your uro feels comfortable enough to shift his bowels on you. how many people would you feel comfortable enough around to poop in front of them???
ok i know i was joking....
"spraying" is something that is frequently used my male monitors as a defense mechanism. the "spraying" poop is usually exceptionally liquidy and stinky, like skunk spray just not quite that bad. if your uro is just taking a normal "poop" on you it's probably just coincidence. do you usually hold him around the same time every day??
if i'm going to hold ANY of my lizards for an extended period of time, i usually keep a papertowel under them. after about the 5th time of *poot* and quinn looking up at me with this really proud look on her face, i learned my lesson.

I'm beginning to wonder if mine does it because he doesn't want to dirty up his nice clean sand. When he does his business in his tank, it's always in the same spot, at the farthest end of the tank away from his sleeping spot. Do you think he's just trying to keep his home clean by dirtying up my home instead?
