water bowl for larger retics?

murdoch May 27, 2007 09:41 PM

Plan one- rubbermaid tub with three inches of water- retic in, overflow and soggy cage floor.
Plan two- one inch of water- tub flipped over and cage floor soggy.
Plan three- Cut bottom out of small black cement mixing tub, turned it upside down and inserted rubbermaid tub into fitted hole. Looks great- if she overflows a tad soaking, excess water collects in inverted lip of cement mixing tub and... should be almost impossible to invert/flip over. Up until now i have used 8 Oz deli cups in ceramic bowls for small drinks but wanted to allow female Kayuadi to soak and hydrate well pre breeding.

I'l say a slightly larger rubbermaid about half way full.
