I just thought I'd share a few pictures of some interesting snakes.
Hemachatus haemachatus - I had the pleasure of getting to work with an individual from this rather unique genus a few years ago, and jumped at the opportunity to do so again. These have to be the most unique elapid on the planet. Their similarities to NA Heterodon are amazing. Even the body "structure," the kind of loose feeling is the same. They aren't always much to look at, but they are completely fascinating nonetheless.
Small female
Large female (she's kind of shy)
Large male (he's kind of nutty)
Somewhat smaller male - very light in coloration, and the only one that has so far shown off its acting talents
Naja pallida - pretty nice "blood red" example. Many of her photos came out so well, I can't help but to post a ton.
Naja haje legionis, or maybe Naja legionis, or maybe Naja haje only. What say you Dr. Wuster?
Naja kaouthia "albininsis" and "formosainsis" - kidding of course, but pretty examples anyway.
