Black Gap

Well I made it out for the first time of the memorial day weekend last night. I spent Sat in Houston and did see a DOR caligaster on the way home. Anyway I figured the best chance to see a snake was to head to the River or black gap. Headed to Blackgap since it is closer.
Saw
1 dor Blackneck garter in SAnderson
5 Atrox
3 Blacktails
2 Nightsnakes
1 glossy

We headed in at 2 a.m since my hunting partner was having to drive back to houston today, but we were still seeing good movement.

On the way back we saw
1 Dor splendida
1 planted (dead and emaciated)pictagaster

The week before, Alicia and I were the only vehicle at Black Gap both Friday and Sunday night. I heard a couple of folks were there Saturday (we were on RR that night).....
