Huge tick under his chin. I just get him yesterday. Kinda rescue. I've been told to use vegetable oil on the tick, burn it, and of course the pull it out. Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.

i really have no idea with amph's, but if it was a cat/dog/snake/liz, id get hemastats/tweezers and grab it as low as possible and pull slowly to be sure i get the head, id post on a frog/toad forum, im not sure how much more senstive the skin is, good luck!!!

Go ahead and pull it out. Watch for the next few days to weeks to make sure there isn't an abscess or bite reaction, just as you would with any other animal.
If unsure, or you're worried you'll cause damage, you can always leave it until it's done and climbs off. This is probably more of a reasonable choice if the tick is already pretty full and about ready to finish. When done, kill the tick, and disinfect the enclosure in case it has laid eggs prior to you finding it.
