one way to look at it is that some states banned snakes that get over 6 ft. Another is that some other states require people to get liscences and tags and a whole lotta other stuff for the large snakes (like FL). Just two things to think about. So form that I personally say balls. But I'm not into any of the two.

I got bit by one of these, I have been tagged by reticulated pythons over 15 feet, that little damn invert made that seem pleasant. My hand swelled up in less than ten minutes to 2.5 it's normal size, my entire hand felt like it was in a furnace. There where red lines shooting up my arm. Within two days my hand was back to normal, except a small amount of damaged tissue. Believe it or not, it helped (temporarily) with my carpel tunnel syndrome. There may be some significant uses for their poison that science has yet learned and or discovered, someone must be working with them in this capacity. Sorry for the OT, but you reminded me of an unpleasant experience, my own fault it got me. I was servicing the enclosure and mistook the head for the tail, hence that certainly was not the tail end. What struck me as UNREAL was the speed in which the poison took effect.

I wanted it pretty much to watch it hunt, but it just tunnels underground. Did you need to got to the hospital for the bite?

Hi Frank, My name is Heather and we live in Texas. I recently caught a Giant Red-headed Centipede and am keeping it in an enclosure.
I'm wanting to find out more info on these amazing animals and am not sure where to start? Have any ideas for a beginner?
Thanks!

All due respect, but you may be going about this wrong. With all the morphs out there, there's potential for $$ in just about anything. If it makes you drool and wonder if it's really that important for the mortgage to be paid on time, then it'll probably be better off for you and your snakes.
Plain, basic Jungle Carpet Pythons renewed my love for pythons several years back. Now I've gotten into Jags, Spotted's, Womas, and soon Blackheads.....basically, everything Australian. The investment potential exists as well, so if I can support my hobby and make a couple bucks on the side, cool!

This is an obsession!!!! Hope all is well with you Mike.
