after reading Jeff's comment on the boa forum on biting it got me thinking. Has Eve been playing nicely or have you been trying to put some meat on those bones and haven't had time to play with her lately? Which brb bit you btw (your story on the boa forum)? Sorry about the ?'s again
Bob

rainbowsrus May 29, 2007 02:31 AM

Eve's been playing nice, not been tagged by her (yet)! But of course, I do give her the respect she is due. Been eating good for me and yeah, putting on some weight.

Honestly, don't remember who it was, was several years back....OK, many I believe it was one of my '94 BRB's and somewhere around '97 or '98

Thanks Renee and I'm sure when Jeff gets off of work he might have something for you on the yeast situation with Lola as he has had lots of experience with medicines over his years. Best of luck with her and keep those pics coming of her especially with those crescents

Speaking of pics, how about a Lola face pic, let's see that nose/mouth??

thank you Tim and if I called my little turtle a tortoise he would be saying "No daddy I'm a turtle!!" If I ever have a 4x6 place I can dedicate to some red-foots I will seriously think about getting some. Their size isn't that bad either I was just hoping you weren't gonna say they get like 150 pounds and 2 feet or what not but they are beautiful just like that woma of yours. Those 2 animals are definately on my wish list but in the meantime I'll just have to admire yours though unfortunately

I thought seriously about getting those.. I am on top the list for 2 of the bigger names in the woma world, so I decided to wait.. I will have a nice group after this season!

I hear you.. I am getting more womas and torts this year for sure.. but not going for any of those turtles like yours (not for a while anyway.. I love kids, but at the ripe age of 30.. I am not just not ready to start a family yet).

There are some torts that need that much space either, but they are kept a bit different and aren't as colorful. They do have great personalities though... the russians and the greeks are both ok in 2'x2' or a bit bigger, and don't need the high humidity.. the russians are a bit smaller then an eastern box turtle..

should read "don't need that much space"
There are some torts that need that much space either,

now I need to get my act together and proof before hitting enter. This thing needs an edit function..

You have so much knowledge in that noggin' you call a head that you know a lot of stuff but you are still eager to learn more more more. And who said who can't teach an old dog new tricks-that lying SOB Everytime someone is going herping on the forum or found some geckos instead of anoles-Frank you are all over it like white on rice so to speak and I like that. You can never learn enough in life and that is the reason I wanted to know more about what T.C. was calling a hypo and tell tale signs
Bob

FRoberts May 29, 2007 04:44 PM

I study a lot of different things about reptiles and amphibians, can't seem to learn enough. As for that "hypo" you are speaking about, I would not mind knowing why it is labeled as one, it does not look like any of the hypos I have seen. It's a nice brb with a nice pattern, but doesn't strike me as being hypo. Who knows?? not me lol

Thanks,

Hey, with that pattern, if thought it was a hypo, I'd be all over it!

I got that male from Will Bird last year Mike. As far as the hypo goes Mike, I was wondering if I made the right choice in the beginning after I made the purchase and now to watch her bloom shed after shed- I'm so glad you guided me through with the whole process and since you gave me that kick start in genetics- there is no looking back and I'm so glad I have her here at my place instead of yours and I would just like to thank you again for everything as I'm sure I will be a repeat customer when the time is right again. I just can't wait to get her a mate but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't check on her and just smile bigger than that oh yeah that is more like that so thanks again Mike
