Feeding wild snakes

black_wolf May 29, 2007 06:45 AM

I breed my own mice and I got them outside. Yesterday I went to check up on them when I saw something black move outta the corner of my eye. When I went to look I saw a really nice looking black racer. At first I was gonna run over there and try to catch it, but decided to feed it instead. I got one of my recent weaned mice, killed it (to make sure I would run loose in the backyard if snake didn't want it), and tossed it over there. The snake saw it and started eating the mouse. I was like "This is so cool!" Ran inside to tell my mom and she was like "Aww... Good it looks hungry. Give it another one." When it finished that mouse it was looking around like most snakes do after eating and wanting more. So I want out and gave it another mouse, then left it be. I hope the snake comes back.
