add some water to the corner of the containers. Are the containers you're holding the eggs in ventilated?
I did not put any holes in the container because the cords for the thermostat and the thermometer leaves a space when i close the lid. Should I put a hole in it?
What kind of hydrometer are you using? I've found that some of them aren't very accurate. The other thing is that if you're using an indoor/outdoom thermometer/hydrometer with a probe, the hydrometer is usually on the unit itself and not on the end of the probe (maybe you already knew that, but it took me a while to figure that out - but then I'm a blonde, lol). I don't even have a hydrometer in my incubator, and as long as the eggs look ok, I don't worry about it. How long have the eggs been incubating? If they have been in there for a few days and still look fine, I probably wouldn't add water. I don't know much about hatchrite, but from what I've read I don't think you usually have to add water to it. I would double check your hydrometer first since it's harder to fix eggs that get too wet.
Hope this helps,
Shelly
Thanks firestorm!!! I'm using an indoor/outdoor thermometer and i didnt know that about the hydrometer. The eggs have been there for a week. Thanks again

I'm glad I could help. I'm sure the humidity in the incubator is fine, so just keep an eye on them and let us know when they hatch!
