Good mail order company?

Crittercrazy Aug 15, 2003 11:16 PM

Anyone have experience with a good mail order company for frozen rodents? I don't need a lot at a time. I have only 4 snakes now (ball python, baby BRB, baby Honduran milksnake, big corn snake), but wouldn't mind buying in bulk. I'm mainly looking for a place that doesn't have a huge minimum order, doesn't cost a fortune for shipping, and who has good quality rodents and perhaps small birds.

Thanks!

I've mail ordered from G & G and someone else. Service was great, shipping was the problem. Now I raise my own. I'm down to two corns now since my son took his pythons north. I'm culling down to 1.2. Once you get set up, it's not much work.

If you want small birds, you can get day old chicks at www.eggbid.com or www.mcmurrayhatchery.com.....
They grow really fast, you might want to freeze them.

I raise my own too for my one snake and my Savannah Monitor. I ordered from RodentPro once... shipping was too expensive though so I started my breeding operation. With the Sav its a life saver and a money saver.. He eats rat pups like they're going out of style. Usually, its going to be cheaper with anymore than 1 snake to raise your own than to have frozen shipped to you.

I used to raise my own feeders. But now I've gotten rid of all my cages and supplies, and it's kind of nice not having rats & mice for once (I've always kept them) No rodent cages to clean I'll probably just keep buying frozen feeders from the pet shop for now until I have more time and want to breed again.

Thanks all~!

The mouse factory pobably was the best i used before i started breeding my own. Shipped so fast my head spun. As well as super clean mice.
