Dragon Eggs???

lumpyknee May 29, 2007 11:07 PM

I currently have 2 week old eggs in an incubator, they are hardened, and the side that is touching the soil have yellow spots on them, the heigermeter is at 80% and the temp is between 82-83. Please respond if this is normal. Any comments would be greatly appreciated

I don't think it's normal but it may just be unusual. Or they may be infertile. You'll pretty much just have to wait and see. I've never heard of anyone that uses soil.

My sister is using a peat moss substrate for her corn snake eggs, and everywhere that the soil is touching has yellow spots. Might just be the substrate. Anywho, I wouldn't throw them out or anything until you know for sure they are infertile. When you candle them do you see any veins? What about stretch marks on the eggs?
