I use it, and I like to add this plastic grid so they're not as likely to lie in wet.

Hi,

Where did you purchase the plastic grid? Is it a specific name or brand?

Thanks, Kyle

I do not like using it for esthetic purposes, but I do know that it is the best and cheapest stuff you can use. A veternarian friend of mine swears by it and has most of herps on newspaper. The main thing you have to ask yourself is how good do you want it to look. I use carpet because it is not too expensive and it is washable so all you need is 2 pieces of zoomed's reptile liner carpet. When you are washing one, you use the other and rotate as needed. This is asthetically pleasing as it comes in many different colors and is excellent for the balls.

In the past I have used and probably will use again artificial turf from the hardware store (home depot or where ever) You will find it with the rolls of carpet. It comes in many colors and is easily scubbed clean, rinsed and air dries quickly. I usually try to find a soft one. It is cheaper I think than the stuff you get at the petstore. Just get a piece cut the width of your tank or enclosure, then you can cut it to fit for length. I usually get 2 or 3 pieces out of 1 long strip.

I use the unprinted stuff that you can buy pre-cut from ULINE. You can also contact your local newspaper publisher and they almost always have end rolls of leftover unprinted paper that they couldn't use. I used to buy them for $4 each (there's a lot of paper left on them) and they'd last me 6 months with routine cage cleaning.
