whats a good uth and were to get it

the only ones ive been able to find at petco/petsmart are zoomed and im not sure if those are very good or not

I have used zoomeds for two years And I like them allot. I have never had a problem at all. Except they do come unglued after a while I just retape them with the foil colored tape in the plumbing section.

Yes I use the Herp power it is made by Big apple herps. It is proportional and works great.

You have to use a thermostat, the UTH can get hot enough to crack glass and can easily burn the snake. Zoomed makes a decent on/off thermostat that costs around $20-$30, proportional thermostats are better but cost around $100 and up.

I know that Pro Exotics sells some sort of record keeping on their web site. I do not know much about it, but there is something of the sort there.

Just a note,

Someone mentioned having a problem with their heater coming unstuck from the bottom of the tank. I think it's better to not stick them at all. Instead, put a couple of magazines under the tank and put the heater on top of that. It takes a little bit of playing to get the right magazine height, but that way you can move it easily later.
